Living in the world of technology there’s an overwhelming amount of apps you can use while traveling; here is a list of my favorite FREE Apps that have saved time and money over the years!
Your airline’s APP - Download each airline’s app you are traveling on and upload your reservation code to it. This will keep you up to date with last minute schedule changes and an easy way to do your online check in before you fly!
ROME2RIO - My favorite travel app that tells you how to get from one place to another by plane, traine, bus, ferry, car, taxi & more!
GOOGLE MAPS - Download the map of the local area you’re exploring to be able to use it when out of a wifi connection!
GOOGLE TRANSLATE - There’s nothing better than being able to speak a few sentences when in a foreign country (that and a lot of hand gestures!) You can take photos of words, highlight it, and then translate it into another language; great for street signs, menus and store signs.
DUO LINGO - Wanting to learn more of a language before traveling? This App helps you to piece together sentences by using repetition and visual aids making it fun.
LOUNGE BUDDY - When on a long haul flight the lounge at an airport can be your best friend if you have an extended layover. This app will load all the lounge’s close to you with pics and amenities listed. You can even purchase your pass ahead of time to easily access a nice shower or sleep room when there.
GROUPON - Yes, we all have our local Groupons but so do other cities around the world! Plug in where you’re going and get some discounted activities to use when you’re traveling - I’ve gotten some great deals in NYC, Amsterdam, Boston & Miami before!
